New England is known for the colorful leaves in the fall. The leaves under the sunlight are so beautiful that they take away your breath. We are lucky to live here, even if we see the view every year but we always find something new and attractive. On Oct 14, 2020 we were on the way to the library and passed by Cold Spring Brook that runs through Ashland State Park. The mirror-like water surface, colorful leaves, and afternoon sun, altogether was a perfect painting done by nature. How wonderful it is!
2020 is a tough year for everybody. I wish it passes quickly. Then we will miss so much beauty in life. These moments are unique and never come back. My brushes help me to record them deep in my mind.
One month later, we visited the same spot. All leaves had dropped. Only the water surface was still as crystal. It was grey, but I saw a different type of beauty, like an elegant middle-aged Japanese woman. You are never bored by nature. It is always different.
